©Can You Come Out and Play?" I artist Chris CADY of ©CADYFolkArt ask you. I can create a "©Playground for Your Head" filled with new art adventures, English County and French Country decorating ideas, unusual FINDS, and breaking paradigms. Just what is a paradigm? A paradigm is a traditional pattern--the expected WAY!

A friend of mine once said, "You’re different—just so Different. And, you get by with it!"

I LOVE being DIFFERENT! Absolutely!! I capitalize on twisting the ordinary expectation into the unexpected or the extraordinary. That's ART--an alternative vision of an object or an idea!

My art studio is always open—in my head. From interior design, to classroom caricatures and Shakespearean play cartoons, to sculpted whimsical characters, to ©CADYCARDS Upon Request Only, to handpainted floor cloths, to MADD Hatter Hats, and to "My Hands in the Wool" felted art, my art entertains me night and day!

My greatest inheritance is my paternal genealogy: canvas artists, Ziegfield’s Folly girls, silent film actors, early Broadway actors, and musicians. "Life" assigned me the artistic task of instructing students. My gallery was the high school classroom; my brushes and paints, literature and language; and my masterpieces, my students. Now, my focus is to create a new gallery, new playgrounds, and my own personal art legacy.

Monetary success or great fame do not measure my success—it is the blessed gift of creativity and the opportunity to play in my own world and to share that world with others who knock upon the door to my playground. I invite you to visit my Hermann home studio and to "©Come Out and Play" in my "©Playground for Your Head."
