Thank you for choosing our Carriage House Bed and Breakfast.  Please enjoy the privacy of our art-filled retreat.  We welcome you.  We have had countless wonderful guests throughout the years.  We have had great press—magazines, a traveler’s guide, reviews, and newspaper articles.  We have repeat guests and many, many bed and breakfast friends.  We keep our price affordable and consistent.  WE DO NOT CHARGE ADDITIONAL FEES FOR FESTIVALS.  Our current rate is $125 per night plus taxes—state and tourism. We do accept gratuities. 

We remind you that our Carriage House is a smoke-free cottage.  We will charge you a complete cleaning fee of $500if we find any evidence of tobacco smoke.  The ONLY place you may smoke is outside the cottage in our gated backyard.  Please use the ashtray for any ashes and smoke product remains.  If you cannot abide by these guidelines, please do NOT reserve with us or cancel at check-in.  We hope that you understand the value we place on our carefully chosen decorations and how dear they are to us.

We entreat you NOT to use any oils, bubble baths, or aromatherapy products in our jetted tub.  We have had to pay our plumber several times to repair damage caused by such products.  If you are responsible for damaging any part(s) of the plumbing, we will charge you for the plumber’s services. For example, a guest broke the sprayer, and the plumber charged us $150 for services and the new part.  We thoroughly clean the cottage and test all the plumbing after each visit.

Also, we have an inventory of each item in the Carriage House.  Due to recent thefts, we will have to be more diligent in our efforts to preserve our collections because each item has a personal history.   We will check our inventory after each visit.  Please do not violate us with careless behavior.

It sorrows us that we have suffered theft and breakage this summer.  It was a guest who suggested that we were TOO trusting; perhaps, we were.  For the first time ever, we now feel that we must create and enforce  self-protective policies. 

Upon your arrival, we will ask that you sign a copy of this Policy sheet to verify that you accept our guidelines for our cottage and our services.
